Allen and Noe taught my class on New Mexican cooking. They were entertaining and offered so much advice and help. The food was delicious and the posole was the best I've had. The staff was helpful as well, and I left with a few mementos of our trip. This place is worth the visit.

2nd Class we have taken and they just keep getting better. This was the Southwest Cooking Class. Quiche, pancakes, huevos rancheros, were among the courses involved. Three hours with Chef Michelle. Multi course demo class in a great modern kitchen with mirrors and TV's so you can see everything. The chef told many interesting stories about the local history as... More

This is a great Santa Fe experience. Have taken several classes here over the years and never been disappointed. Excellent facility making it possible to follow the food preparation and opportunity to have questions answered. Being able to sample the menu at the end adds to the enjoyment. The bonus classes at half price are good when they work for... More

I live in Santa Fe and occasionally take cooking classes. The one I took just this Sat. morning, Mole and More! with chef, Michelle Chavez, was the best class ever. Her food was scrumptious and her presentation off the charts for history, cooking tips, food prep and just plain entertainment. If you're visiting Santa Fe look for the school and... More

I thought this part of our tour would be a waste of time but was I so wrong. Not only did I get a better understanding of the available grown foods of New Mexico, ( hot peppers, chilies etc ), I got to taste the meal that was prepared. I got a better understanding of the uses of spices. The... More

I visited Santa Fe and Taos for 12 days over Christmas. I was on my own for a few days before my son arrived and decided to try something new, a New Mexico brunch cooking class. What a great decision! I learned so much about using spices. Chef Allen Smith and his sous chef were professional and engaging. I am... More

I enjoy cooking and I love learning about the history of different cultures through their foods. Santa Fe Cooking School satisfies both! I have attended two classes, one in April/2016, and New Year's Eve/2016. Two different instructors and menus and both great food and fun, and taught me so much about New Mexico's history. The classroom is comfortable and very... More

Our recipes were thrown off because we were told that the mini premeasured portions cups were accurate, ,BUT they were not. The pre-portioned cups were way off. Messed up our final recipes and flavor.

My husband and I visit Santa Fe five or six times a year and always make sure to attend a class at the School of Cooking. This past week we attended 2 demo classes: Spanish Tapas and Traditional New Mexico III. Both were taught by Michelle Chavez. The menus were well-balanced, the food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing and... More

I surprised my husband and signed us up for the Authentic Spanish Tapas class. This is a demo class with lunch included. It was really fun! The chef was Michelle Chavez who was so knowledgeable and engaging. Learned a lot of history and cooking techniques that we hope to use. The time went by quickly and the tapas at the... More
