Visited earlier this week with three adult family members. Well worth a visit. On an unusually warm, early March day, our personable guide, Sina, offered many insights into the career of the modern Apache painter and sculptor Allen Houser (Haozous) 1914-94. She provided illuminating commentary on more than twenty bronze, steel and stone sculptures celebrating Houser's Native American heritage. We... More

Paths wind around outdoor sculpture grounds, studio archives show Houser's legacy, videos, drawings, paintings, prints, sketch books, maquettes, studies, stone, bronze, wood. Groups welcome, set up appointment. 25 miles south of Santa Fe.

Since I have moved to Santa Fe, close to 40 years ago, I loved the work of Allan Houser. I have gone to the Sculpture Gardens, though only twice. It's worth seeing. His sculptures are gorgeous, his paintings are very good too. Lovely.

This FREE park sits in between the Native American Museum and international folk art museum. It's a public space that provides a lot of education through art. Loved it!

My husband and I had the Alan Houser Gallery on our short list of places to go in Santa Fe. We were pleased that David asked if we were interested in the Sculpture Garden Tour - $25/pp and about a 40 minute drive (with construction) south of Santa Fe on the Turquoise Trail. My husband and arrived the next day... More

80 monumental outdoor bronzes beautifully sited along paths winding through Juniper covered hills. Extremely knowledgeable and cordial guides. Starts with a short introductory video in a Visitors Center, than about an hour walking through three areas where the magnificent collection is displayed. Concludes in an indoor gallery where another 100 smaller sculptures, paintings and drawings are on display. A must... More
