We stopped here for a bit of gambling, but stayed at the Hilton casino hotel down the road. This casino was small and smoky, but machines paid great. We are from Colorado so are used to non smoking. We are also used to alcoholic beverages on the casino floor. Machines paid well for us.

Limited casino with only machine games. No table games or poker available. They do have a designated smoke free room, however you have to walk through the smoke filled casino to get there. The buffet was average but it was a Thursday night. They have steak and shrimp on Friday and seafood on the weekend.

Being from Colorado, we have a few mountain towns that we visit with multiple casinos. Visiting one (other than Vegas) out of state was a different experience. The Cities of Gold Casino was an interesting layout as it is just one big circle of slot machines. No table games. My wife and I don't gamble much, so it was a... More

The casino at Cities of Gold is fair if you like a lot of slots. No table games, you have to travel about a mile south to Buffalo Thunder Casino to find table games. The hotel was good; clean rooms, nice staff and plenty of room.

Stayed at Cities of Gold hotel, which was nice and cheap so we walked over to spend an evening at the casino. It was dirty and smoky with the usual machines. Ate at the buffet. Not much selection and looked like it had been sitting there for a while. Casino workers seemed pretty unhappy and grumpy. Not very friendly. Next... More

Small casino with just slots. Not smoke free and slots didn't pay well at all. We stayed about thirty minutes and went back to Buffalo Thunder Casino. Liked it much better and they have a smoke free room.

We saw the sign for cheap buffet prices and there are no reviews of the buffet that I could find before going there, so we risked it. The Cities of Gold Casino is located about 20 minutes north of Santa Fe and very easy to get to. You do have to sign up for a players card in order to... More

A good place to fill up if you're a senior and there for the buffet. Food was fresh and an okay variety. The catfish nuggets were great! Liked the salad bar a lot and had a delicious dessert. The casino itself is a bit run down but I won so I can't complain. I would return.

I was thrilled to find a $3.99 buffet that served a nice selection of tasty salads, entrees, and desserts. My husband and I were starving after a morning hiking at Bandelier and we tried a bit of everything. They even gave each of us a $5 dollar credit for the machines. I am not much of a gambler, but it... More

I'm not a casino fan, but I stopped in here with my sweetie. This place is really depressing. It just seems really old and sad. It was mostly empty when we were there (weekday afternoon), and I immediately wanted to leave.
