There are two trails. One is short and steep and leads up to the look out, if today is your first day at this altitude the hike seems harder than it should. I was out of breath. (I'm old) and not used to the elevation....More

Driving from Santa Fe to Nambe Pueblo and Nambe Falls is experiencing ultimate New Mexican scenery. The vast views on the mountains and endless horizon are stunning. The actual falls and the short hike to the falls is interesting, easy, quite crowded, and not equally...More

It's a nice place to have picnics and camp out. The $15 per carload fee is a bit expensive for the park. The signage that will take you to the lookup doesn't help. First, we followed the trail opposite the signage and took us to...More

The trip to the falls is lots of fun, but you do get wet and have to wade in the river. Lots of people were trying it. But the trip to the overlook although a little steep is dry and you get a beautiful view...More

For us flat land hikers it was a harder hike because it was steep and the altitude. Views at the lake are great it is well worth the time. It is a well traveled trail and met a lot of nice people. Recommend this hike...More

Absolutely loved driving up to the falls. It cost $15 to get in per car. You walk up on ineven trails and through canyon rivers that are shallow to get to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Great photo opportunities. Looks like a calendar. Bring...More

First this is a relatively pricey spot at $15. The signage to the two trails going to falls is very poor. The trail to the overlook is very primitive and has a taxing elevation gain. There really is no sign for the hike up the...More

My teenagers are happiest when they are in water and this was a great experience. The first day we came the ranger told us we would get "wet" if we took the lower trail. He didn't tell us (although others in the trail were told)...More

I don't think so. It's not a campground.

Hours are Thursday-Monday 7A-7P $15.00 day use fee. I have been and don't believe it is worth the time. Better things to see around Santa Fe. The dirt roads don't get you to the sides of the lake. Very rough.
