We hiked up to the falls in the morning. It is an easy hike with good pathways till you get to the falls. Some climbing around rocks required at end to get to actual falls. Stunning scenery along the way, beautiful wildflowers, we saw a large marmot which was so cute, we also ran into a young brown bear in... More

Fairly easy hike to the Falls with little incline. Can be difficult in icy patches. Nice scenery on walk.

Starting in the back of the Lodgepole Campground this is a great 1.7 hike up the canyon to the base of Tokopah Falls. Great view of the Watchtower along the way and several places sit by the river and enjoy a picnic lunch. The best easy hike in the park.

A 5km return walk along a gentle incline next to the river. It was very quiet when we did this walk, only saw a couple of other walkers. Did not see much wildlife, but I think it was the wrong time of year to see many animals.

Go to the end of the parking lot in the Lodgepole campground. Park. Cross the stone based bridge and the Tokopah Falls trailhead is on the right. Keep following the trail as far as you can go and you will be up close and personal to the falls. It gets rocky and slippery when wet but worth the trip. There... More

It's a decent and relatively easy hike for sure, but going when the water level is low is kind of a waste of time. There is no pay-off.

This hike proved to be the PERFECT hike for our family which includes a 7, 10 and 12 year old. Wasn't too strenuous, but was enough to the heart pumping a little bit while seeing some spectacular SNP scenery. We went during low water, so we were able to go slightly (and safely) off trail to do some rock and... More

This is a must see hike at Sequoia National Park! It is 1.7 miles one way, you will see several small water lakes, rocks, giant granite rocks, beautiful trees, and lots of greenery! There wasn't too much water and the actual main point waterfall was almost dried out, this is probably best to go in the spring. The last 20... More

We were in Sequoia during August when the water was quite low. But the hike was extremely lovely, and the low water made it possible to get down the the river bed for more exploration. This area of the park is quite different than the Sequoia Groves, it was a pleasant change. I found the hike to be extremely beautiful.

The trailhead is located in the Lodgepole campground area. We hiked up in the afternoon, probably around 4, so the sun wasn't straight over head. The trail begins by following the river uphill. Almost immediately you will begin to see the towering granite cliffs. Have your camera with you as you'll want to take lots of pics. The trail is... More
