More history than quantity.. Really like the early electric vehicle and the conversion from horse drawn to horse power in early transportation..

There were lots of unique old vehicles from carriages in the 1800s up to early model automobiles from the 1920s and 1930s. It would have been helpful to have some staff around to answer questions.

Was part of Luray Caverns tour. Had old cars and carriages with excellent descriptions and the cost of the vehicle at the time.

I admit I am more of a muscle car guy. The museum has lots of older carriages and cars that might get to the 1930's if my memory serves me well. Do not expect anything close to a muscle car or race car because as...More

Here’s the place that American Pickers TV show visited. It catches you by surprise that such a neat transportation museum is in the same area when you walk out of the caverns. It isn’t huge but it is very interesting for all ages and interests....More

I don't know how this collection was assembled, but they have a very nice collection of carriages and cars, displayed chronologically. The cost of the (brief) tour was included in the Luray Caverns pass and the entrance was right next door so it made sense...More

The Car and Carriage museum itself would take about an hour. If you plan to enjoy the caverns and other sites you'll want to plan 3 to 4 hours. The cavern tour is scheduled for just over 1 hour.
