We recently went for the Christmas Tree Display they just opened. First of all, the road to the Arboretum is awful. It needs to be graded. My car has been having issues since driving on it, and I drove 10 mph! We spent $21 to get in to see the trees. We were there less than 10 minutes. We were... More

We thought the Arboretum would be a nice sidetrip but were surprised that the road was not paved. Some garden areas but mostly forest. It was late in the season and frost in the morning has become typical in late October and November at this altitude.

We went a few days before closing for winter. Nothing much to see. Should have been half price, at least. Sucked in! No doubt better in spring.

Flagstaff itself is one of the nicest, cleanest towns in US. Great climate throughout the whole year. Perfect starting point to viisit Great Canion.

My wife loved this place. Our guide that took us through the trails of wildlife and vegetation was very knowledgeable. Even though it was a warm day we found it refreshing from the shade of the pines. Just a nice relaxing attraction.

Aborted trip 2 miles from Arboretum because road was likely to damage our rented car at 10 miles per hour.

I went to the Arboretum with a group of friends and was very disappointed with what they had and for the cost . I have gone to other facilities like this one and I consider this one to be below average.

We needed a quiet, relaxing place to go to recharge our batteries after a few hectic days and the arboretum certainly fit the bill. Entry fee is very reasonable, only $17 for the two of us and we were there all morning! We had a wander around the grounds ourselves first and spent an hr in the Butterfly House learning... More

A pleasant small-scale arboretum which can be seen in an hour or so. The Butterfly House was a nice addition, offering the chance to see the beautiful Monarch butterfly up close. The grounds offer magnificent views across the plateau to the San Francisco Peaks, and there are a couple of short nature trails. PLEASE BE AWARE: the final three miles... More

As a photographer; I've read about the Arboretum and finally had a chance to visit this past weekend. It was still raining outside so I sequestered myself in the small butterfly exhibit taking pictures for a solid hour. Once the rain stopped I was able to catch stunning flowers fresh with moisture. Dazzling. I took time strolling down the many... More
