It’s like a mini Grand Canyon, but the LARGEST waterfall in AZ. The water will run depending on rain and snow fall for the year, but with or without the water it’s beautiful.

So disclaimer, its still really cool even without the water. Its like a mini grand canyon. So what I would say is when you're heading into the Navajo Reservation, there's a sign now that points to a shorter, easier route than what the GPS takes...More

Nice Chocolate Waterfalls located in Northern Arizona. You will have to walk down a trail to see the views of the Falls

This is one where timing is everything...in order to get the full effect you've got to do it in the spring of a year with good runoff from snowmelt in Arizona's White Mountains. Assuming that all comes together its a very impressive cascade in the...More

The Little Colorado has to be running, so you need to check the local weather, but when the river is running this is the most amazing view. Road out there can be a little rough when conditions are wet--you will need to take care driving...More

I'm here right now as we speak thinking I was going to get to enjoy a beautiful, lush waterfall flowing through this canyon. I, too, took many dirt roads of unsure paths. There was a left turn I missed that had the hwy sign on...More

It was the second stop when we arrived to Flagstaff for our family vacation. We got into our rented Nissan Altima, told Siri were we were going, and took off to Grand Falls. Siri warned us our turn was coming up on the left so...More

I went there just couple days ago. The place is hidden in a private area without paved road. It is a good place to visit but a 4x4 is strong recommended. I went there with my Scion xB. I got into the mud on the...More

The drive isn't bad, might need a 4x4 when it's in the rainy seasons or after the snow melts. When you arrive, you are on Navajo Nation, the tribe has built up the overlook of the falls with a gazebo, restrooms, parking area and there...More

The road is Dirt and it has washboards in it unless they fixed the road since I was there. But to me the drive was well worth it.

You don't need a permit for hiking around the falls. I would be respectful when hiking in other areas though because you are on reservation land.
