My husband and I thought we would check it out and really learned a lot. The staff was very knowledgeable and kind. They had a great selection of merchandise. We loved that the amtrack station is connected right on to it.

We four Brits based our oh-too-short afternoon in Flagstaff on the lovely Visitor Centre. This was a weekday in October, not peak season, and we easily parked the car in the adjacent pay car park. (There's a free short-stay car park too.) We loved the...More

The visitors center is in the train station. Other than the location, this was a typical visitor center.

Cool place in an old train depot. Lots of information to sort through about the area and the state. We did find parking pretty limited, but that's the way it is around most of old downtown and along the Route 66 scene. Lots of gifts...More

The place is off the famed Route 66 in downtown Flagstaff AZ. It was impossible to park there so we walked into the center. A strange smell permeated the city like rotting pork, which didn't help morale. Most of the folks were friendly but they...More

Friendly, informative staff, historic building, clean rest rooms, very nice little gift shop, lots of useful brochures and maps [free], and frequent trains--something for everyone! As others have mentioned, this should be your first stop when visiting Flagstaff. The maps of downtown restaurants and shops...More

This visitor's center is located in the 1926 Santa Fe Train Depot building on historic Route 66 which it shares with the still functioning Amtrak train station. The architecture alone is worth a visit if only for a photo stop. However, the friendly staff will...More

Visitor center is located in the original train station, which still functions as an Amtrak train station. Everyone there was extremely helpful. They also had a wonderful gift shop.
