so this year, my best friend & I went to the Broadway Market on Holy Thursday along with two other friends. needless to say, it was an exciting, fun-filled, tasty day. and every year, our tradition is to sit at the counter for breakfast--so enjoyable. there were LOTS of people, LOTS of candy, rye breads, pierogis, arts & crafts, hand... The Broadway market is a Buffalo staple, and many would suggest to visit close to Easter because many of the vendors are selling Easter products such as hand painted eggs and flower crowns. Lots of polish food here - sausage and pierogis are what I got for lunch. It was just so packed when we went I felt like we... More

I had heard about the Market for some time but had not ventured to try it. So glad I did this week! It was jam packed, but overall people were polite and moved in an orderly fashion. (Being so crowded, it can be difficult to see things in the booths but people will let you look if you are polite.)... More

We have never been there, but have had relatives and friends visit there. Being half Polish, it's a great place to visit before Easter. It reminds us of the Public Market in Rochester, where we live, but more than just food items. It is also inside, so the weather does not affect your ability to visit anytime. Most of the... More

As an area resident, a visit to the locally famous Broadway Market during the Easter season has been on my "bucket list." Our recent weekday visit was worth the trip. Entirely indoors, the market spares visitors from unpredictable western New York weather. Regional Polish favorites are widely available: pierogis, potato pancakes, butter lambs, and a variety of sausages. Other meats... More

These pierogis were the closest I have found to my grandma's. they were big and fat and stuffed. I had sauerkraut and mushroom. Took them home and cooked immediately. The dough was delicious. I will get these again for sure !

It's long lost the wonderful historic ambience of the market with intrusion of craft dealers. It's still fun to go. Best pierogis and polish sausage in Buffalo. Great ethnic baked goods

Unfortunately I got to Broadway market just before close on a Saturday. I did get a chance to walk through the market and I really liked what I was able to see. Most of the spaces were empty or covered by the time we arrived but the potential was obvious. I imagine that closer to the holidays the place will... More

I usually only go during the holidays--this is when there are the most vendors. The front of the market is like a crappy flea market, but once you get past that there is the food. Pierogis are the best along with the bakeries. I don't eat meat, but there is a huge selection. Also many wineries have stands there.
