While parking can be a bit of a problem, this is a really great venue. Who cares that they don't have stupid reclining chairs when the ambiance takes you back to the heyday of theater (maybe the '20s)? Real butter on the popcorn, too.

This neighborhood isn't as glitzy as Elmwood Village, but it's more interesting and more reasonably priced. Your choice of food includes Greek, Italian and Chinese, of course, but also Iraqi, Indian (two different types) and some places that are just hard to classify. For fans of architecture there is the Martin House complex designed by Frank Lloyd Wright about a... More

Great little theater. It is a real gem that has been maintained with care. Definitely worth walking into the past. The list of movies includes avant guard, classics, and some recent independent films. If you have never seen an old time movie theater, you are in for a real treat. It is an experience in itself.

I grew up in north buffalo. After college I moved to NYC but loved coming back to my old neighborhood. Thankfully my parents still live there. I love how hertel is growing with new restaurants and spot coffee. Always felt safe walking the streets and I still hang out with many of my childhood friends. A great place to grow... More

The refurbished North Park Movie Theater is right on the Hertel St. strip and fits right in. The marquee has been preserved and is a plus to the area.. The seats are very comfortable, and the decor is stunning. The murals and statuary have been lovingly brought back to life. Bathrooms have been updated. Personnel are friendly.

Recently I walked to the North Park Theater so I could take in all that's new on Hertel Avenue. I walked past many new restaurants, antique shops and furniture stores, Hertel Ave has certainly come into its own a developed into a destination for unique shopping over the past 5 years. When I arrived a the North Park I was... More

The is a resurrected vintage theater, privately own, which shows a wide range of art and independent films. It also has a weekend family film venue which is great for families younger audiences.

Many new restaurants and specialty shops opening continually. Great walking area as basically contained in a few blocks. Walking is preferred as downside is a great lack of parking most of which is on the surrounding streets.
