American Fork Canyon is really beautiful. It has Timpanogus cave and a real pretty lake called Tibble. The lake area has a nice area for Little kids. The lake is stocked with trout.

This is a very nice drive to immerse yourself in the Utah mountains. Lots of winding roads (my ears were popping).great hiking trails. A few bathrooms here and there. Different sites to see. Make sure you wear appropriatee shoes, no sandals.

Drove through part of this canyon. You will need a park pass, yearly or senior citizen, or buy a 3 day pass for $6. We stop at some pull-outs and picnic areas. Very lovely. Wish we had more time. If you are very adventurous, stop...More

Truly enjoyed our time here. Some of the roads I would suggest not attempting without 4-wheel drive but the views sure are worth it. Lots of lakes, trails and streams to explore. We had a nice picnic by a stream.

American Fork Canyon is a nice drive in the fall if you enjoy the color change of the leaves. Nice drive between Alpine and Provo Canyon, then you can decide if you want to go to Provo or Heber.

The small stream running through the canyon seems so peaceful to me. Except for an occasional loud vehicle, the place is quiet.

Last year I spent a weekend up the canyon in Granite Flat campgrounds. It is about a 10 minute drive to Timpanogos Cave. The campground was clean and most had a nice clear area to put up a tent. It has paved roads to get to... More
