You can't get a more wonderful walk than the Cliff Walk with its great views of the Atlantic and the beautiful mansions and homes along the way. It's a terrific way to exercise without cost in Newport.

This was a good activity but I was hoping for a better view of the homes along the walk. Great views of the water but that's about it.

We walked just a portion of the Cliff Walk, from the beginning to the Breakers. What a view! The ocean was magnificent. We saw some daring surfers and enjoyed watching them brave the high waves. The path is well maintained but was covered in snow...More

My kids loved the little house mailboxes--they wrote poems for each one. We spent about 45 minutes walking, and then they got tired. Make sure you use the bathroom first!!!

Cliff walk is one of the most beautiful ocean walks in the world! With views of Newport Historic mansions on one side and ocean on the other, it is a walk you will truly enjoy! Just be sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes

This is especially a must-do when the weather is accomodating. A beautiful walk along the cliffs that are lined with the old summer cottage mansions. Spectacular water views. Much of the walk is paved, but some of it is unpaved and a little rough. Wear...More

Yes you can walk with young children. However, be aware that parts of the walk (by the Breakers mansion) it is very rocky and more difficult to walk on.

If you go past breakers, up the road a little is a turn off with parking. There’s nice views there. Also, along ocean drive on the way up toward the mansions; it’s beautiful!!
