It's a regular visitor center where you can buy tickets to the trolley and some other things also. Good a/c, clean bathrooms, places to sit and machines to buy cold drinks. There is a souvenir shop that had fair prices.

The first place to stop when you get into Newport. This is a very nice facility, with a lot of helpful people and information.

This is a great place to start a visit to Newport. I would recommend parking your car at the garage there and walking to the main centre. They have lots of useful information and a very helpful staff.

Stopped here to get information about the bus going to the mansions. They had some very good maps and insights. The bus starts here but can be picked up in many places around the city.

When in Newport make sure you stop at the Visitors office before taking tours. The lines were much shorter than going to attractions directly to buy tickets. They can guide you and give you information on what tours and attractions to see when in Newport.

I would park by the mansions for that tour as it does involve lots of walking --just doing the tour. You only have 1 day and have two big things planned....if you only want to see the Breakers then no problem but the other... More

That should be a much slower time of year to visit. If you join the preservation society you can get a pass to visit all the mansion for $75.00 for 2 people. One mansion can cost $26.00 so quite a bargain. Recommend you... More
