We come every year and make an ornament at Thames glass. Shane has helped us each time and is very patient with us . We look forward to doing a case on our next trip. One good thing to know is that it takes time for it to dry and to cool so if you're here for more than a... More

I went there last week with my family. We had a great time making paperweights. My daughter was a bit nervous about doing this as it involves a very hot furnace. Shane was very nice and patient with us. Totally recommend doing this. It was fun trying to shape our pieces and how great it turned out!

We had a great time making a vase and enormous paper weight with Shane! You really learn a little bit of the artistry and techniques required. I've been to glass blowing experiences before, but here they involve you in all parts of the process - from firing up the glass, to applying the color, turning and blowing into the pipe... More

You are right! How many people can say that have blown glass! And have their project come out nicely ( not a doorstop). Please come back and see us again! More

Lovely little shop/artisan that is down the end of Thames away from the main shopping area. Friendly staff. Look for the "seconds" for value pricing!

My family of 11 came in today to make ornaments. From my nephew of 9 years old to my father of 67, we all had a wonderful time! Most importantly, my disabled sister had the time of her life and was made to feel so comfortable and important by Shane who is an amazing young man! We will definitely be... More

It's a fabulous little shop with a working staff. This studio has been producing hand blown glass for several decades, and it's fantastic to see they have continued this art form. I've been purchasing unique pieces for many years to commemorate weddings, Christmas and housewarming. Well worth a walk or drive down lower Thames to check them out.

We collect art glass along with beautiful ornaments. The studio is small but there were many pieces to choose from. The work area was not in use the day we visited but there is a viewing area to watch the artists work. We chose a small glass bowl with lovely blue and white swirls throughout. The prices were reasonable for... More

Visited Thames Glass early Nov of this year and had a great chance to see up close not only how blown glass is made, but to actually make a decorative pumpkin. My daughter and I had very personal (just the two of us) session lasting about 45 minutes. It probably helped that this was at the end of the tourist... More
