Beautiful hike and views. Cannot miss landmark on Oahu. Wear comfortable athletic shoes and bring water. Delicious snacks at the bottom.

The walk or struggle to the top of Diamond Head crater was exhausting but delightful. You need to be a little fit but I had no problem by have frequent stops.

We caught a bus into the crater and hiked the rest of the way. The trail is paved with concrete and is mostly a ramp with handrails so it's not a bumpy or rocky trail. It does get tricky in parts and there are some tall flights of stairs towards the top, but it is worth the effort! On a... More

Not a bad hike and you can take your time. I think the most amazing thing for me was after driving into the park, you look around and realize your in a giant crater!

We reached this place by using public transportation (the bus). It is not so hard at the beginning, as you just need to walk around the hill. The hard part is when you reach the stairs... that was quite challenging for me, as I'm not very sporty. However, there are look out areas, where you can sit, rest, catch your... More

If its a nice day, expect a crowd and it will dictate how fast you can hike. On a clear day, the views are worth it. Go on your own, you do not need an expensive guide as the trail is well marked and there's a map that is provided that tells you about what you are looking at.

This was a must see for us. It's a pretty easy hike and the views from the top are worth it! The admission price is also hard to beat. For pedestrians to enter the park is $1/person. A car is $3 I think. No need to book a Diamond Head tour to get there. TheBus from Waikiki is $2.50/person each... More

The trek to the top of Diamond Head is well worth the climb. Tennis shoes or some sort of flat shoe will make the hike easier. There are places where it is completely dark, so keep the flashlight on your cell phone handy. The view from the top is stunning. It takes about 45 minutes to hike to the top... More

I did this walk by myself on quite a warm day. The walk itself is not too bad but I don't think you would want to do it if you are not confident in your fitness. The start of the path makes it look easier than it is as it is nice and easy, concreted, with an easy incline. Once... More
