Definitely good exercise while hiking and exploring this dormant volcano. Stunning views from the top of the Pacific Ocean below. If you're a huge lighthouse fan like myself check out the lighthouse on the road below, can also GPS and drive to it as well....More

A hike that most people could complete. Plenty of places to stop and rest and admire the view. Safe walking track, but can get over crowded. Be prepared for the stairs at the end. The views from the top are well worth the trek. Shave...More

Awesome hike and great views around Waikiki! Make sure to carry water bottle. Parking is tough but be patient and you will be fine. Have shaved ice and coconut water to reward yourself after the hike :) must do!!

We didn't find out until we arrived that the trail was closed for maitenence but we were still allowed in the park an able to get an idea of the grandeur of the space. Still glad I got to step inside this beauty.

It can get hot and crowded so bring water and avoid the afternoon heat if you are sensitive. We had a short cloudburst of rain and took shelter in the tunnel near the top. Parts of the downhill were somewhat slippery after the rain, but...More

The trek up this mountain is tough and in places challenging, but once at the top the views are spectacular! Wear good walking or hiking shoes. Be prepared for stairs that go straight up and lead into tunnels.

Great hike. A good advice is to arrive just AFTER sunrise, when it can be crowded like crazy... I came like 10-15 minutes later and met approximately 200 people on their way DOWN. We were maybe 15 people there when I reached the top.

This is not a leisure walk in thongs/flip flops. You will need proper walking shoes and a bottle of water. People has come to all sorts of medical conditions and not once but twice I witness two visitors having the trek beat them. I found...More

The Bus (yes that is the name of the local bus service) has great service. We took a hotel shuttle because of a marathon that took place the day we visited.

There was a certificate available from the gift shop, where they sold tee shirts and such. Anything else would have been an illegal vendor.
