Zero Stars!!! We made reservations with this company for a much anticipated trip to celebrate a college graduation. I made the reservations well in advance and then came the Corona Virus. We were forced to cancel our reservations because of the pandemic. I was assured that we would receive a refund for our tour but that they would have to wait to see if we could receive a refund for the air fare. I was instructed to call back two weeks later to confirm. When I did this the representative stated that I WOULD be receiving a full refund including air fare and it would be in my account within 30 days. After this time passed and I didn't receive the refund I called back. They tried to say they could not find my name or reservation in the system. They said I must have made my reservation with 'Aloha Sunshine Tours' instead of Discover Hawaii Tours. I then went back to my confirmation email and typed in Aloha Sunshine Tours to go to the website, low and behold it took me to Discover Hawaii Tours. A little sketchy for sure!. I was able to find a phone number for Aloha Sunshine Tours and left multiple voice mails and messages with the answering service and they said they would have the manager call me back...no return call. When I called the number again (probably for the 30th time) the number went to Discover Hawaii Tours and the representative again said that he could not find my name or confirmation number. I asked him why the number I called would ring at a different business and he said that they were all out of the office and may have forwarded calls to him. I explained to him what my issue was and he instructed me to call my bank and try to get my money back that way. That is what I did and after investigation my bank said they were told that this company does not offer any refunds. Needless to say I lost $1400.00 that could be spent on many other things, simply due to a pandemic and a bogus company. Do not book with these people!

Booked tour during early Dec for a late Dec tour. Paid in full, and received confirmation emails and tickets. Showed up at pickup point at scheduled date and time, and there's no one to pick us up. Called the customer service number, and the rep said: "I'm sorry. I see your reservation here, but no pickup was scheduled. The tour is now sold out, and we cannot accommodate you". Spent 20 minutes trying to discuss options with the customer service rep, and other than "I'm sorry", and "We will issue a full refund", there were no solutions presented. My family and I were left high and dry, with no options, and six hours to with nothing to do. We travel from a long way away, and have limited time at Hawaii. How can pre-booked and pre-paid tours be canceled with no-shows from the vendor? A full refund will never cover the opportunity cost of the time and overall effort spent. Absolutely terrible experience. Highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

This was our 2nd time on the Waikele outlet buses and not impressed! It seems this time the drivers were family members of the owners....didn’t explain anything on the way there re the destination passports (which passengers are entitled to for extra discounts) to the passengers who had never been before and when dropped off just said pick up here. Then on way back just dropped us off in Waikiki and when asked why not dropping us off where we were picked up from said need to get another shuttle. In the bus the driver said he couldn’t wait to get to the beach and I guess that was more important than dropping us at our destination which is pretty bad service.

If you've never been to Oahu, I would recommend this tour. I would add a Pearl Harbor trip as well. We booked this trip through the Pearl Harbor website which you could add this tour to it as well. My wife and I had done this tour 24 years ago the first time we visited and took our teenagers, 15 and 18, with us this time. Our son, 18, loves history, so Pearl Harbor was his favorite. My 15 year old daughter didn't care for much of this tour besides a shopping spot and some of the beaches. The tour we took was about 6 hours which included lunch. There were a few stops we didn't get to make that were listed. One was Hanauma Bay, which I would recommend a visit, because we took our tour on a Tuesday, which is the one day of the week when they are closed. We skipped a couple of other spots because of the rain that day. We still had a pretty full day though. Dole pineapple plantation is kinda neat. Pineapples for purchase there are extremely good. We got the pineapple soft serve there which is amazing. The amount of time you are allowed there doesn't give you a lot of time to do some things. There is a pineapple maze, which takes about an hour to do and the pineapple express little train they have that takes you through the grounds. Halona blowhole is a beautiful spot as well. We also stopped at a macadamia nut farm where you can try samples and purchase your own; just as you can do at the Dole pineapple plantation. We stopped at Pounder's restaurant for lunch. Not sure if the tour company gets anything from the places we stopped for bringing their tours there, but we enjoyed everywhere we stopped. Most stops we were able to shop for souvenirs or buy some local food for snacks along the way. Some of the tours say don't bring a bag. We ended up bringing one and were told we could leave it on the bus. You can't bring bags into Pearl Harbor, they do have a place to store your bag for $5, but if there is a line, you may not want to mess with that. Waimea Falls, Waimea Bay and Sunset beach. Clumping all of these in one group since they are so close in proximity to each other. Waimea Falls is in Waimea Valley which is a botanical garden. The Falls are about a 15 minute walk from the entrance on a paved walking path like at a zoo or something. The botanical gardens are beautiful. Plants and flowers are everywhere. If you love taking pictures of things like that, the walk to the falls will obviously take a bit longer. The falls are very pretty as well. If you have the opportunity to swim in them, I would recommend it. They provide life jackets as they are required to swim. The water was pretty chilly, but feels great on a hot day. They do have lockers to rent and a restroom nearby. You could also pay to ride a golf cart from the entrance to the falls and back. I think it was about $10 a person roundtrip or $15 one way. I didn't think it was worth it, so we walked. Waimea Bay is spectacular. We went there on our own on a different day and spent the evening there until after sunset. There is a cliff you can climb up and jump off of as well that is about 25-30 feet. There are lifeguards there as well. Again, if you've never been to Oahu, this tour helps you get a broad view of what there is to see and do. I definitely would recommend it. Teens need to just keep an open mind and enjoy the views and experiences.

Excellent full-day around island tour giving flavour of life with visits to turtle beach, Dole Pineapple plantation, shops and shrimp lunch stop (pay your own) plus many photo stops along the way. Excellent driver-guide. And a/c minibus.
