Downtown Honolulu is pretty cool. There are many tall buildings, yet so many beautiful trees cover the area. It is not a huge downtown, so we are able to walk around in such short time. Downtown vibe is very laid-back and relaxing.

Could have been nice if they improve or clean the area or maintain it. It's just full of homeless people lying around sleeping on the floor. Trash all over and smells bad most of the downtown place.

The international market place is closed until late August 2016 for refurbishment. It was completely closed when I was there in February and all torn up inside. I'm not sure how they will finish by their projected completion... More
