The old and the new parts of downtown Honolulu are all appealing and if time allows with a Hawaiian visit, then the history of Honolulu with its old buildings certainly merit a 'look see' .

All the big name stores and big name restaurants. Be careful of the "street vendors" and people who "bump" into you.

This was the best part of Oahu down on Waikiki beach! Truly a tourist catered area as it is in fact a tourist spot that some seem to complain about!?? Everything you need in walking distance. Places, shops and restaurants open until late. Good holiday...More

Lots of things to see within walking distance. We stayed at a local hotel and would go for walks at night. We neer felt unsafe. Local restaurants are pricey but I guess everything is pricey in Hawaii.

You can contact the US Immigration about a work visa. If you are fluent in English you could always find a job as a translator. Good luck.
