Google Maps knows where you are, where the stops are, which way you're facing, and what the schedules are. Tell it where you want to go and it lists your transportation options including costs and travel times (The Bus in Honolulu shares route information with Google). Pick an option and Maps leaves a trail of blue dots on its map... More

We used the bus in Honolulu. It would have been good, but we got dropped off to catch another bus and just missed it, so would have had to wait 50 more min. Otherwise it is easy to use to get around if you had google map app.

Very reasonable and goes everywhere on the Island. we used it for the stadium, return from pearl and downtown/ Chinatown area. Just remember it takes longer as they make numerous stops.

While holidaying in Honolulu we used the bus quite a bit to all sorts of areas and attractions. The fare always seemed to be 2.50 no matter where you were off to and if you finished what you were doing within 3 hours one can just get back on again and come home or go to your next destination, great... If your staying for a week or more get a Bus pass from ABC stores as if you intention is to travel the island this is the way to do it because every time you get on board you'll pay the standard fare, so you'll save. Buses travel the whole island but be aware the seating is a little hard... More

Coming from a city with an excellent public transportation system, but having experienced the abysmal service in the US. I did not have great expectations for Honolulu. But The Bus changed my mind. For $2.5 per trip, you can go anywhere around Oahu. We took the bus to the airport, Pearl Harbour, Diamond Head, and even Ehukai Beach, to see... More

Took the bus from Peal Harbor to downtown. For 2.50 it was well worth it. Picked us up outside the gate. It was a god deal and a great way to see the sights.

We read about The Bus but had no idea how wonderful the system is . If you are 65 or older , the fare is one dollar . If ñot a senior , the fare is 2.50. You have to have exact change (you can give a dollar bill ). If you ask for a transfer , you can even... More

We were most impressed with "The Bus".. $2.50 a ride is cheap compared to what we are used to. If you make your return trip within 2 hours it's free. A real bargain. We used "The Bus" all the time while in Waikiki. Went on a 2 1/2 hour round trip to Ewa Beach, Hanauma Bay, Pearl Harbour and out... More
