This Courthouse is on top of the hill on the highest point in Vicksburg. It can be seen in many Civil War photos of the battle. It is now a museum of Vicksburg history. I thought it presented the War from a pro-Southern view. The...More

Great little Museum and historical building. This was the epicenter of the city during the siege of Vicksburg. Museum has a nice selection of historical artifacts and a nice gift shop. Can be seen in 45 minutes and well worth it.

This museum is chock full of memorabilia, artefacts and ordnance from America’s civil war. It depicts the siege of Vicksburg and its eventual capitulation in 1863. Other items on display include the old courthouse and other historical items from the 20th century.

This is a must see when in Vicksburg. You can feel the history when you step into the courthouse. Lots of confederate and local history.

Visiting the courthouse is a great experience. The building and artifacts are very authentic and antique. We also loved touring the grounds around the courthouse.

We truly enjoyed this museum. Beautiful building with so much history! My two young adult sons really enjoyed it, too. It had some great civil war displays. Upstairs is the old courthouse gallery, which was so worth seeing. An excellent addition to the National Military...More

Such an awesome building and grounds, very well maintained. It was so impressive to step into a building where you just feel the power of the courts from so long ago. There are various pictures on the walls, artifacts scattered about and stories of trials...More
