What prevents me from giving this five stars? A poor docent tour. Otherwise, the rooms are gorgeous, and the art is wonderful. The collection includes many luxurious portraits, as well as gems by Whistler, Goya, Rembrandt and John Singer Sargent. The furnishings, particularly window treatments,...More

The Taft Art Museum is unlike any other art museums. It is in the original home of Anna Sinton Taft and Charles Phelps Taft and displays the fine collection of art pieces they collected in their lives. New art is generally not added. The Sunday...More

The Taft Museum is one of the gems of Cincinnati that may not get much play. We have never been disappointed in visiting this intimate museum. The collection is diverse and the rotating exhibitions well done. Not always easy to find for the first time...More

Beautiful home converted into a museum. The collection is a bit eclectic because it's based on the holdings of a family. Emphasis is on Cincinnati artists, rightfully so, with good holdings of Dutch and French 19th century, esp. Fontainebleu and Barbizon. Beautifully displayed.

This is a peaceful and educational way to spend an afternoon. I think parking for visitors is always free under the building, Sundays are free admission. Check out the Lindner Family Restaurant onsite, it is wonderful. I will return!
