while recently staying at the Phelps nearby, we enjoyed a visit to the Taft. It is small, well curated and accessible. You can see everything in the museum in 1-2 hours, depending on how much you read. we enjoyed learning before and speaking with a docent about the history of the house's residents before it was a museum. interesting period... This museum is in an historic house with modern additions. The basic collection of paintings, porcelain, furniture, etc. is of very high-quality. I've visited twice (a 4-hour drive round trip) to see special exhibits. Both were interesting, well lit, well curated, with helpful signage. There is a museum shop and restaurant too. The museum is a nice size, not too... More

Went once on a field trip with elementary students - but made a point to go back again on my own. A lovely museum, well curated and stunning venue.

I love visiting the Taft. The exhibits are interesting and the layout is wonderful. After seeing an exhibit, its always enjoyable to walk through the historic part of the museum, which is the former home of President Taft. The food in the cafe is excellent!

If you are short on time and have a love for great art, this is the place. It is one of America's great small museums. There is also a sweet cafe that has great food. Remember Sundays are free.

Mainly went for the 'Bijoux Parisienne' display, which costs a little extra, but covers a wide historical range of beautiful, high-end jewellery. If you go on a Sunday, I think you only have to pay for the special exhibits - the rest of the museum is free. The main museum is divided up by the different rooms of the Taft... More

We've visited the Taft Museum a few times over the last years. It always gets me wonder how life was inside the walls of the elegant and spectacular house. The artefacts are interesting, and they always have really cool seasonal exhibitions. Also, the general exhibits are free on Sunday. :)

We visited the Taft Museum when they had the Downton Abbey exhibit. We loved it! The audio tour was definitely worth the money. The rest of the museum was very interesting, and we learned about the Taft family. Great photos of the area back when the museum was the Taft family residence. Beautiful gardens, too.

A small, delicate, lovely, pristine, elegant, stuffier-then-it-needs-to-be, well-curated museum in a classic Palladian mansion whose center core dates from the 18-teens. The collection is small, and the touring special exhibitions are also small. They are interesting, the place is seldom crowded, there is reasonable free parking, it's a great place for a late morning rendezvous with a fresh 'squeeze' followed... More

We discovered this museum while looking for something to do in Cincinnati. Since then, we've enjoyed visiting it many times, including the recent Downton Abbey costume exhibit. The house itself has many treasures on permanent display. Enjoyed the gift shop and the restaurant, also.
