The Tyler Davidson Fountain on Fountain Square is sort of the symbol of Cincinnati. Although it has been moved from the center of the square it is still an artistic attraction that displays the many uses mankind has for water. The fountain was made in Munich, Germany, and presented to the city in 1871 by a local philanthropist. Take the... More

Recently had an anniversary lunch on the outside area of McCormick & Schmick's in wonderful weather and the experience was great. Watching all the people and and the activities kept us busy. The fountain "Genius of the Water" never gets old looking at it and remembering when it was in the middle of Fifth Street and the bathrooms below it.

Really cool place to hang out with friends , usually some kond of musical entertainment on the weekends. Also many bars and restaurants that border the square. Great place to hang with friends or couples. Enjoy!!

There is a large screen TV on a building right there and when the Reds or Bengals are playing its aired there. There is a stage there and it's fun to... More

The fountain on the square, "The Genius of Water," is often overlooked or just glanced upon. It is worth the time to examine the water based activities portrayed at the base of this magnificent lady, and ponder the history of the river city and its relationship with the water. Fountain Square is the heart of Cincinnati, giving it that small... More

Guess you will have to look for events. Otherwise it's just another city block. There are restaurants around it and appears to be set up for events but will be small to hold too many people.

Beautiful fountain and the square is very nice. They have redone the whole thing and it is a great place for outdoor gathering and events. Nice downtown spot.
