The world's largest natural warm water indoor swimming pool. *NOT A HOT WATER SPRING* The town is named Hot Springs, but Evans Plunge Mineral Springs itself has never claimed to be any hotter than it is, which is consistently 87 degrees year-round, the Lakota called it "Minnekahta" meaning "warm water." 5,000 gallons of water flow from the mineral springs every hour, completely refreshing the water in the pool numerous times every day. Evans Plunge Mineral Springs opened in 1890 and is the oldest attraction in the Black Hills. Currently owned & operated by the City of Hot Springs, Evans Plunge is proud to be open year round and offers both an indoor and an outdoor pool, plus a health club, which is included with admission!

We enjoyed our visit. The woman at the front desk was nice enough to say we could wait 20 minutes and get in for half price after 545pm. They let us get our swimsuits and sunscreen on in that time. As others have said, full...More

We were part of a group of 40 on a road scholar trip. This was our last day after visiting the Mammoth Site. The hot spring swim was enjoyed by all. The slides were especially fun. My wife felt the healing powers of the waters...More

We went on the inside water slide. It was fun for 2 sixty plus seniors. We played water basketball, sat in the hot tub and sauna, and enjoyed watching the younger crowd swinging from suspended ring to suspended ring. It was relaxing. The smooth stones...More

Spent 3 hours relaxing in the warm springs water. Teenager had fun playing and going down the slides, and this senior citizen enjoyed the warm waters after a 4-hour horse ride. I know, it's a bit rundown, but that didn't ruin our enjoyment. It is...More

Was there with family and they swam. They had fun for about 3 hours. A little spend for families. I don't swim so I has not charged.

Our family was very disappointed in our experience at Evans Plunge. The facility was run-down and felt dirty. We all felt misled by the photography on the website and cheated by the relatively high admission price. With all of the options in the Black Hills,...More

After a long days travel, it was refreshing. Could use some sprucing up, but wonderful all the same.

I went after a personal tip to visit Evans Plunge. After the glowing reviews from someone who visited a few years ago, I had high expectations. My expectations were not met and I felt $5 would have been fair - not $15. The building has...More

This place was very fun for me and my family. There were three slides, rings, basketball hoop and a volleyball net that were very fun too. The water is warmer and more relaxing. The bottom of the pool is rocks and the staff were nice....More

This is a good place for kids to swim and slide, but it's a bit pricey and really needs updating. The paint is peeling everywhere, and it feels outdated. I don't think they've renovated for 30 years, which is too bad considering the Black Hills...More
