Beautiful area for camping with a beach. Our friends were staying in the area. Nice little cabins with a deck and fire pit but they didn't have bathrooms. Views were awesome especially at sunset!!!
We had a blast at Angostura!! When you're too far to make a weekend trip to the beaches of Florida (🌴🍹😍) and find this slice of paradise, it makes a girl happy!! I see many more days spent here while living in SD. Super clean and enough beachy areas to have your own space and not be too crowded even... More
Got there rather late in evening. Had rain storm during night. Nice grounds and hookups. Locals boat in, pitch tents and fish. Nice get away from town. Had fire ban due to extreme dry conditions. Still nice site. Has both outhouse (for real) and bath house (stalls and showers).
Love to go around this res. in the boat. Not too many with fast wave makers. (There are some and there boat is load!) I would not want to be out there when a thunder storm comes. The ramps are very user friendly. We have not caught any fish there yet.
On a beastly hot 102-degree day, we headed to Angostura for some water relief. You pay a nominal fee to enter (I think it was $6 for our car), and we drove past the Inferno marina and stopped at a side-of-the-road parking place and walked down (very short walk) to a sandy, shady area with a sunny, sandy beach beyond.... Office is open later than most state parks which was convenient with us arriving after 6PM. Park personnel were very helpful & friendly. Lots of gnats including in restroom sinks. Showers were nice & clean. Level gravel rv sites with shade at most sites. Electrical hookups but no water or sewer. Potable water available at dump site area so filled... More
We camped in site 15 and it had an amazing view. The only problem was that there is not shade. If it's hot then this site is too hot, but if the weather is cooler it would be amazing. Nice people and clean showers were a plus.
Although this is a large body of water that I am sure is great for water craft (I am not a water person), Be careful on the several beaches as they contain sand fleas or chiggers and you will be ate up in no time. Flies are terrible, but we didn't see mosquitoes because the wind NEVER stopped. I found... More
It says there are 4 bedrooms, but it only shows 3 on their website, Master, Green and Blue bedrooms? Do you remember the combination of bed in the 4th bedroom.
Did you rent the extra cabin also? If you did, how was it?
I didn't rent it, just trying to help family out who did for a wedding party and are now dealing with the no linens, etc.
