My son and I visited the Grand Prismatic Spring during Summer 2017 and we just loved it! It's so beautiful and colorful as a result of algae that only live in extremely hot water that boils up from the spring. People visiting the spring walk...More

this is stunning! I wish we had gotten to see it twice and different times of the day to compare, but we went at sunset and it was magical!! A must see in Yellowstone!

This must be one of the most beautiful spots in the park. For the full colorful effect, go on a warm, sunny day, preferably with a stiff breeze to blow the steam away. On cold or cloudy days, you may not see much.

Its an amazing feeling to have cold weather and warm steam blowing at yr face. and then to see the clear water bubbling in the crater. Nice walking boards to see all the different ponds and the prismatic lake.

Second trip to Yellowstone, this time with our grandchildren the same age as our children were when we brought them here last. Yellowstone never disappoints and photos don't do Grand Prismatic Spring justice.

The colors are always there, but the beauty of it is not always obvious at ground level. You really need to go to the overlook on Fairy Falls Trail to capture it. The parking lot for Grand Prismatic Spring is often full, a... More
