Depending on the schedule, the Grand Loop Road can be done in a day with the short delays of wildlife seeking attention. The speed limit is 45 and it is with reason. Do not expect to see much of the main hotspots if your goal...More

Fast and furious, and not recommended, but we had no choice. It's doable. We were able to hit all the major highlights thanks to the Gypsie app and a strong determination to do the dang thang! The traffic wasn't as bad as I'd expected, but...More

Very Scenic. Provides great views at many of the pull overs on the road. There are several roads through the park and this one is worth the extra miles.

Best way to see the park for most vacationers. Great road side views of falls and rock formations between the major attractions.

With young kid(S), long drive isn't so easy, but there are so many great stop to district them from car ride fatigue such as wild animal watches and beautiful spots. Some parts were so windy and narrow, which may be unpleasant but in those areas,...More

Just driving around you see a lot: animals (just stop where others stopped) and landscapes and features

Great drive with many views. My only gripe is when people see animals traffic can back up for miles! 1/2 hour to an hour sometimes. So be prepared to just be patient and enjoy the views. Especially on busy times like around July 4th The...More

A great introduction to the park is to simply drive this road. If you like to stop, get out and walk, then take the upper loop one day and the lower loop the next. The road was planned to take in many of the best...More

Take the Grand Loop Road with the stopovers. Check out the accomodations inside the park. West Yellowstone Village was very touristic for me... Spend a night at West Thumb and/or Canyon Village. Much depends on the weather... More
