Great trails, lots of benches to rest. The view is just beautiful. Go in September - I cannot imagine how crowded it is during the summer.

Hikes were fantastic and well marked. The views were spectacular. There was construction on some of the trails but it honestly didn’t even matter. Washrooms were accessible and parking was decent too.

You should visit the falls and the different scenic views there. You'll get a much more close look to the canyon than in Grand Canyon National Park because it's very narrow and not so deep. The main spots are good to reach with the car....More

There are a lot of great sites around this area. It definitely is a must see if you’re in the area! Make sure to use the pull offs.

This view is absolutely amazing but was very crowded when we stopped by midday. Well worth the stop.

Beautiful but quite a hike to see it 600' down and up. It is worth it if you are fit. The views of the area are spectacular.

On the day we visited Canyon Village/Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone included an additional unexpected bonus as it snowed the night before. We had beautiful 'winter wonderland' views in the morning, then as it warmed up and the clouds opened up, we had equally nice...More

You must drive up to Canyon Village. It's a nice walk down to the viewing stations. The views are breathtaking. Between watching the waterfalls and the deep rich canyon, this is one of the reasons why you came to Yellowstone. It's worth every step back...More

That would be a long day. In my opinion the two best single things to see in the park are 1) the grand canyon of Yellowstone which can take a bit of time as there is artists point on one side which you want to see, then the... More

Definitely don’t need a tour. However if you have a smartphone, I highly recommend getting the Gypsy App. It was a great resource to have available since cell service is spotty in Yellowstone. Download in advance and it will... More

You don't actually park on the Grand Loop Road. You take separate drives off of it and they have their own parking areas. The drives are only 5-10 minutes south of Canyon Village. The South Rim Drive will take you to the... More
