Out for a nice stroll.

Easy and fun and worth the 90 min or so you invest in the hike. Kid-friendly too. Just do it and you will make some great memories.

Easy hike

Easy paved trail to the lower falls. There wasn't much water in October, but it was a pretty hike nonetheless.

Easy Hike with Dogs
Aug 2021 • Couples
This was an easy hike up to the place you can see the falls. We went in August so the falls were not very large, basically just a trickle. The path was nice and easy to hike. This trail is also dog friendly because we brought our dogs on the hike.

This is an easy place to get to since the hike is not difficult and the view of the falls is amazing. Lots of people at times because of this but its worth it.

The Disneyland of Yosemite

If you don't like to hike and you love crowds , then this is for you. A brief stroll on pavement and you are there ( and so are thousands of others ). A bit disappointing , especially since we had just hiked to the Upper Falls.

Must See Spot in Yosemite Valley
Jun 2021
Since there were no shuttle buses operating this summer, we walked here from the main visitor parking lot. We arrived early in the morning so had no trouble finding a parking spot and once we arrived at the bridge near the base of the falls there were very few people here, which I am sure was not the case later in the day. The lower falls look quite impressive up close so it is pretty amazing to see how much shorter they are than the upper falls when you are able to view both of them from a distance. Unfortunately the trail that goes right up to the base of the falls was closed but it was still a nice view. It is certainly one of the must see spots in Yosemite Valley.

Beautiful little hike to a great view of the lower Yosemite falls
Jun 2021 • Family
Tricky to get to trail head when shuttles aren’t running, which they weren’t for us as of 6/21/21. It’s a bit of a walk from the village parking lot. Head north and west, basically toward Yosemite falls which you should be able to see. Once at the trailhead the signage is great and it’s totally not a trail but a beautifully paved walking path. Zero vertical, just a nice little walk to a great view of the lower falls (Yosemite falls is split into two sections, upper & lower). If you want you can climb up through the boulders to get closer and feel the mist or even swim in the frigid water.

Beautiful views and great nature walk from across sentinel bridge. Came on monday morning, not too many people on way out of park, cars were parked everywhere.

Quite a climb

We are an elderly couple who took this trail. It was a great view. We so enjoyed it. Take it slow and steady and you can do it. We are quite fit as we exercise regularly. Make sure you are if you want to try this. The views are stunning. Highly recommend this.

Too many people
Jun 2020
I went early in June. The falls of course were not magnificent. But the crowds of people made me wonder why I came to Yosemite in the first place. This trail is just a walk in the park. Any grandma can do it. It is just a 5 minute nature walk from the main road. Don't stand close to the falls because there are many people there and you may slip. Would not recommend.
