The Yosemite Village is the best stop before you start your day in the Valley. It is smack in the middle of the valley and contains a good amount of establishments to purchase food, equipment and get free information before going on your journey. The Village also has a nice post office and visitor centers to better understand the valley... More

Stopped at the Village during our visit to Yosemite. Although it was outside peak period, it still took us a while to get a parking spot. There are several attractions in the Village as well as a fairly well stocked store which also sell souvenirs.

We visited the Village at Yosemite Valley mainly to the Village Store and Visitor Center. The Village Store: - lots of food and merchandise including hot and cold foods/drinks and plenty of souvenirs to purchase. - Other facilities include restrooms nearby. The Visitor Center: - a must stop for all visitors. Includes many informative displays about Yosemite and the geology... More

It's worth stopping off here to have a look around the museums and galleries. There are some places to eat and get supplies Wild deer cross the roads so watch out!

We spend two nights in Camp Curry. Just the knowledge of knowing that there will be bears walking around your tent at night is just amazing. The tents, parking lots, toilet/bathroom were all really good taken care of, as well as the little shop close by & a few restaurants. It's super easy to wake up early the next day... More

On September 12th we were sorry to realise, that, inspite of the beautiful nature Yosemite has to offer, the Park was under construction, so some roads were closed and the access to the main parking lot in the villave was very busy. They were burning some wood, so there was smoke everywhere, and the traffic inside the park was awful.... More

My husband and I enjoyed the movie on the history of Yosemite. It offered great information on the formation of Yosemite as a park. (The theater is behind the visitors center and does not require tickets and you can walk right in.) The bookstore has a nice selection of maps and books about the park. The village also has a... While the highlights of Yosemite a national Park were breathtaking....despite the long winding rood to get to them, that had me trying out to be a race car driver for hours, the actual village was a huge disappointment. Construction meant we had to park on the road, quite a walk away from the village. Signs were lacking everywhere, so despite... More

Ate at the cafeteria, The food is very pricey and they seem to take advantage of their location by overcharging for what you get. Not very tasty and sub-par ingredients. However, if you bring your own food and don't worry about their options, then you'll have a great experience.

The parking was a nightmare, but it's a great place to relax and recharge your batteries. Catch up on food, water and a 'body break'.
