The scenery was awesome to be expected. We went on Memorial Weekend and it was heaving with visitors and there cars. Arrived at 9am and all car parks were full. Very popular indeed. Sadly Yosemite HQ had made no allowance for this tsunami of visitors. Roads were blocked, restaurants were overwhelmed and the buses were swamped. SHAME ON YOU YOSEMITE... More

We love Yosemite. Have been going there for many years. The water falls this year were amazing. Can be a lot of people and crowded. Camping is so fun. Lately the people coming in for just the day makes it harder with the tour buses and crowds of people. Damage to the roads this year has closed down some areas... More

Great place to get information about the park and the best trails/locations to visit. The Village Store has all the souvenirs you could want from Yosemite and food options too with plenty of fresh foods. We bought our lunch here with some fresh bread and ham which was a nice change from eating in restaurants for the rest of our... More

They have a large dining area with several different hot food items to choose from. Like pizza, burgers, sandwiches and full dinners, even steak. Lots of beverages in cans & bottles as well as the self server soda and water options. We also got the info needed regarding last minute need or interest in staying in the park for the... More

We were so glad that The Village had as many things as it did! There is a full grocery store with reasonable prices. We got sick of eating at the food court quickly, so being able to grab lunch meats, bread, cheese and other foods really helped. The gift shop is very large and has something for everyone, including all... More

If you need groceries the store is the major shopping center in the Valley. Be prepared for crowds. Half of the store is souvenirs and the other is food. There are cashiers at both ends of the store but it gets backed up. Patience is a must while visiting. Outside there is a burger stand & tables.

For the first time, I felt like a tourist. We stayed at the Village and while we were happy to have loding, it was dark and a little unclean. A hairband was left on our vanity. :-( Also, the front desk would not accomidate a cot in our room (although it was a last minute request), or additional blankets. Just... More

A great starting point for your Yosemite adventure. Lots of tourist info and maps to help you plan your trail. Plus, places to stop to refuel (food).

We went there after a big hike hoping for a nice meal in a restaurant. When you say village I guess I just had different expectations I was thinking little ski village quaint but that really isn't it. There was a visitors centre, gallery and the only place to eat was a grill with only outside seating. If the weather... More

The village is the epicenter of Yosemite. Easy access to the falls, visitor center, food, lodges, and a shuttle stop mean you will not be alone.
