This 2-mi RT hike is worth the time. Go early in the day as parking will fill up, and the hike is > 50% exposed (so don't want to be there in full sun at mid-day in the summer!). Spare enough time to spend as...More

STOP and take the hike out to life changing views. It's an easy hike/walk onto dome at an angle. The flat boulders make steps to the top and views of Half Dome, Tenaya Canyon, Mirror Lake, Yosemite Falls, Clark Range. Take water, hat, snacks, binocular...More

This hike is about 1 mile to the top of the dome and 1 mile back. My 9 year old had no trouble. My 6 and 7 year old had to take a few breaks but they were able to do it. Definitely have to...More

Go past the trail head of sentinel dome/Taft point and go to Glacier Ridge first before the crowd comes. Then circle back to this great, easy hike and climb. You have a mainly flat 1.8 mile hike to the dome, then you hike to the...More

An excellent hike with very rewarding views of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and the valley floor past El Capitan. Your elevation is above that of Yosemite Falls, so you can see the ENTIRE falls from top to bottom. A beautiful view. I have seen this...More

This is a great hike with spectacular views. The walk out to the dome is fairly flat, when you first see the dome it is a bit intimidating but you walk around to the back side and the climb up is rather easy, just wear...More

Nice hike to overlook of the valley including, El Capitan, Yosemite falls, Half Dome and Nevada/Vernal Falls. Hike is not flat but not bad. About 45 mins to an hour in. We spent about an hour at the top. Worth it!

We hiked in from the Taft Point Trailhead. It is supposed to be a bit longer than from Glacier Point but a bit easier. You can get a map from the Park Rangers that will provide the different trails at the Glacier Point area along...More

This easy, 2-mile out-and-back hike offered the best views of Yosemite Valley for me. The trail wasn't overly crowded when I went but parking filled up quick. Our family of 5 completed this short hike but we decided to leave Grandma behind to read and...More
