Just a few minutes from the Tacloban airport - if you fly into Tacloban, you should come here. The monument area is 75' off the road. Easy parking - no charge, right next to the monument. Nothing really aside from the monument to see. That...More

We went to Leyte and Mac Arthur park because my Father served there during WW2 It was nice but in very good condition ,but still brings emotions when you see it .

Went to Palo, Leyte just to see this but it disappoints me. The place was not well maintained. Murky water, the lawn was not maintained, Mac Arthur and the other statues should be repainted. This is a historical place and it should be taken cared...More

A park by the red beach where General McArthur landed to help liberate Philippines from the Japanese. The park has a few memorials about but the main one is the one with General McArthur walking through the water with his men. Plenty of grassy areas...More

I was a bit shocked to finally see this area live. It really did look big in pictures but the real ones are medium sized and were placed in the middle of the park. It would be really nice to visit this park late afternoon...More

Difficult one to rate. It is one of the must see places for it historical significance and costs nothing. But once you had taken your photos and perhaps had a picnic in the park there isn't much else to do. There are much nicer beaches...More

Interesting historical place. The statue of General Douglas Mac Arthur will commemorate the World War 2 battle of Japanese soldiers and American soldiers in that area.
