We found ourselves locked down for six months in Thailand staying in Jomtien and maybe not in love with the beach and water in Jomtien, friends suggested we give the Navy Beach or Sai Kaew a try.
With a rented car, it was no problem at all and while a few hoops to go thru, it was fun and interesting and to see such nice well kept grounds. And the beach itself and the water were more than wonderful. It was so good we made the trip perhaps 30 plus times.
The small restaurants had great food choices and more than fair prices. The whole fish at 400 baht was so good, I looked forward to that every time we went.
I do not understand some of the negative whining comments some of made of this beach. They must feel very entitled.
I can see it might be a chore if taking public transport, but it would not be the end of the world. I felt it was all of great value and that is why we kept repeating the experience so many times.
When Covid is brought to heel, and tourism returns in a normal manner I cannot wait to return to Sai Kaew.
At all times, we were treated with great respect by all the various Thai personnel involved in the various stations you must go thru from fee paying to chair rental.
The beach and water were so nice, it gave great comfort to be able to enjoy this.
Thanks so much to all involved.

It is a resting place that is not too far from Pattaya. Drive along the route in GPS. It is in the new military training center of Sattahip District. Smoking and loud noises are prohibited. There is an entrance fee of 50 baht. You can take your car directly to the beach. If you go on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday, there will be quite a lot of people. But if you go on a weekday, it is considered a peaceful place to relax. There are diving and kayaking activities. There is food for sale in the area. The bathrooms are quite plentiful and convenient.

Thais pay 50baht adults/10 baht children and foreigners 100/50. This beach has white sand and its the kind that doesnt make the water turbid.

The cottages are also free of charge. Sadly, it was full of trash the day we went. I usually pick up trash when I go to beaches that are free of charge because I am not sure if someone is paid to clean them. But in this paid beach where service men are aplenty, I refuse to pick up trash.

The coolest beach in Pattaya. Clean, beautiful, organized. You can take a taxi directly to the place. When visiting and ordering from the menu in the restaurant, sun loungers and boats are free. The service is excellent, the staff is attentive. We went with friends and really enjoyed it.

I were here with my family. I really impressive the drive way to here. You can see beautiful trees, nice air and at car park have a lot of monkey. The beach smooth sand, cheap rent chair and mat. But toilet no clean and far. This toilet don’t good for old age people or handicap.

Sai Kaew beach is a popular beach for both Thais and foreigners located inside a naval base. Before entering the base, your Thai partner will need to show his or her ID. Foreigners don't have to.There's a 50 baht charge for locals, 100baht charge for foreigners. Once inside the base, just follow the signposts.

The beach itself is pretty, with a surprisingly good (and cheap) open air restaurant with waitress service. Lots of trees are conveniently located along the beach and within the grounds of the restaurant to provide much-needed shade. I was surprisingly impressed by the cleansiness of the beach area and that includes the sea. I never saw a single floating beer bottle or tampon in the water. Weekends are busier than weekdays.

Finally, please keep in mind that military personnel live in houses close to the beach so it would be wise to leave your AK-47s and other such holiday essentials at home.
