Visited Nusfjord for a number of times over the years,
From first visiting with my late Wife in the nineties on a tour of the Lofotens off a cruise ship to this present year,
Found this year this quint little fishing village is charging 100NOK now to walk around, What a cheek !!!

Visited in pouring rain. Thought there would be more inside things to see but it’s mostly outside. Not easy to find our way around. Not clear what was an historic building to go into and what was a private house!

Totally not worth the 100 kr entry fee...The whole experience felt like a tourist trap, and I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. Nusfjord is definitely not worth the time or money.

Lovely renovated fisherman's village in a beautiful site at the entrance of a narrow fjord. Except here there are no more fishermen only tourists, a hotel, restaurant, café and shops. Henningsvaer is more lively, and A more interested with its museums.
If you want to visit, go late afternoon to avoid the 100kr entrance fee that is totally unjustified, and still enjoy the views and the shops.

Another pretty village in Lofoten but nothing special as such. We stopped off on our way back to the airport and arriving at 8am it was free entry - the hut for payment was closed so there’s a top of you want to see it for free.
Enjoyed the wander round and the drive to it off the main road but not worth paying for. Hammoy and reine and actually prettier and free

We went in the depths of winter in most inclement weather. It all looked very quiet but went in to reception to buy our outdoor museum tickets and got a very warm welcome and the museum itself was well put together and very interesting. The cafe and store which was up a flight of wooden steps was welcoming and easy going.

Disappointed by the fact that there is an entrance fee of 100 kr per person, which is not worth it. For someone who lives in Lofoten this feels like a tourist trap, and not the way we should welcome our visitors.

You have to pay 100NOK per person to enter, then there is very limited things to see/do, with hardly any information.
Most of the place appears to be a hotel as well, so there is a lot less to it than you think.

On a rainy day, we went for a walk in the village full of restaurants and a bakery. We couldn’t enter the village without paying an entrance. So you have to pay en entrance to spend money in the restaurant and shops. An interesting business model for the owner but also an illustration of the tourist exploitation in the Lofoten. A shame for Norway which is a beautiful country.

We'll be in Leknes for a brief cruise stop. Can you tell us how you got to Nusfjord?
Taxi? Rental Car? Bus?
Thanks
