Fun night on the boat in the very dark mangroves.! I'm so glad I decided to book on the boat instead of the kayaks. The mangroves are shallow and dark, and I mean dark!! The boat was enjoyable, we didn't get wet and we got to enjoy the surroundings and look at everything instead of rowing. We saw a variety... More

I took my family to this instead of the kayaks on 12/29/2016. It was the best decision. Not only did it feel more personable since the crew, and esp Mario gave us great attention. Mario is extremely knowledgeable , he not only talked about the bio bay, but we also saw sponges, Iguanas, egrets and other animals as we went... More

Overall a great tour, the staff was friendly and very informative. The only sad part was the glow in the water was not very bright. Keep low expectations and you will be fine. It is a great experience though. When you reach the location just look for a small tent with a small sign. Hard to locate, GPS does take... More

Originally we were going to sign up for the kayak tour, but after reading previous reviews we choose the electric boat tour. And we are so glad we did. There is no way our daughter could have navigated the kayak as we saw many adults struggling and getting turned around. I love to kayak but probably not so great an... More

We chose Bioisland because we have kids too young to kayak and weren't disappointed. There were 8 guests and 4 staff on the boat and our guide was so knowledgeable of the mangroves and ecosystem. Pointing out local iguanas nestled in the trees above using his spotlight. The bioluminescents was pretty incredible aswell given it was a very clear night.... More

I was somewhat skeptical about booking this tour based on some not 5star reviewers and because we arrived on the red eye flight and I wasn't sure if we would be able to be awake 'till 9pm for this tour. In the end, it was such a unique experience and the boat crew were so knowledgeable and friendly that I... More

Trip was a lot of fun. The operators were very informative and entertaining. They went out of their way for us and even gave us a ride back to the hotel we were staying at. It was challenging to bioluminescent organisms, but overall very worthwhile.

I'm very glad we chose to take a boat, as opposed to kayaking in the bioluminescent bay. With only six passengers and three crew on the boat, I felt like we received a more interesting and informative experience than those folks we saw struggling to guide their kayaks in the sometimes crowded, narrow waterway to the bioluminescent bay. Due to... More

It was definitely a great experience. I am not into kayak, so tour the biobay with boat is a much better choice. The captain and the tour guide did an excellent job. Recommend!

I booked the Bio Island electric boat tour for my son and I an hour before it was scheduled. When we arrived, our seats had been sold at the dock and they were unable to accommodate us. The staff were very apologetic and rebooked us for several nights later, refunding my child's fee as compensation. There was some confusion when... More
