This one of the cheapest boat trips I've ever taken. Think the ferry to Culebra is the best as it is the gateway to Flamenco Beach ranked as one ot the top beaches in the world. Beware you better get your ferry tickets well in advance as the demand is great. During the winter months the ride can be pretty... More

Fast trip to Culebra. The staff is nice and courteous. Make sure you take sea sickness pills if going on a windy day!

We got there, after a $100 taxi ride from San Juan, at 8:30 a.m.. Tickets for the 9:00 a.m. ferry were all sold out, but thanks to a fellow passenger we learned that seniors get to skip the line. So we got our tickets, and hung out for four hours. There isn't much to do in Fajardo. We left, late,... More

Try to get your tickets online well in advance. You can buy tickets on the day of travel at the ferry terminal but the ferry sells out and you may not get a ticket. Once you have a ticket, just line up in the corral and be patient because they are on "island time".

We wanted to go from Fajardo to Culebra but couldn't book it online as the tickets were unavailable. But later, when we went and asked in the counter, to our pleasant surprise, the tickets were available. It's always better to buy the tickets online but there is a little chance of the tickets being available at the counter. So don't be... More

On a weekday we arrived at 7am for the scheduled 9am departure to Vieques. The line for tickets was already long but not as long as it was to go to Culebra. We split so mom stayed with kids having good breakfast sandwiches from the small corner store while I got the tickets. Buy your return tickets at the same... More

This ferry travels between Puerto Rico and Culebra and Vieques islands. The current price is about $3.00 per person each way! You can beat that when traveling to gorgeous beaches, I believe the cost of flying to Culebra is about $100 per person so you do the math. It's by no means luxury transportation, but you can't beat the price... More

When considering options for getting to Vieques, don't believe all the negativity about the ferry. So long as you show up 2-3 hours prior, you'll get on. We bought a round trip ticket which made the return all the easier. $8 beats a nearly $1000 for a Cape Air ticket. Chances are, the people complaining are shocked they couldn't get... More

We were a large group that planned to spend time in San Juan and vieques, so our itinerary was dependent on the ferry service. The biggest issue was lack of information on the ferry service. Their website gave certain timings but locals and hotel concierges gave us different timings. They also warned us that ferry tickets may not be available... More
