Roaring fun and actually learned something!

Was a bunch of us having a good Sunday together, catching up, meeting new faces. I have to say Rob (Brunette) turned up for our pick-up with a trailer and two dogs... we knew it... read more

I had a great time there but mostly because of the people I met. The surf and transportation were super old and the quality of teaching not good at all. I read another review saying how the teacher hit on the girls of the classes... So true! They were really hitting hard (in a case with success) on the girls,... More

Was a bunch of us having a good Sunday together, catching up, meeting new faces. I have to say Rob (Brunette) turned up for our pick-up with a trailer and two dogs... we knew it was something un-text book like (smile). Friendly, down to earth good ol' Aussie charm and around 30 mins later, we met another Rob (blond) and... More

My partner found Surf's Up by chance over the internet. The day we chose to surf was coincidentally beautiful, the beach gorgeous, not too populated and the waves a whole lot of fun. Dean picked us up near central station and drove us to a beach approx 40 mins from the CBD. Like a proper camp, we set up tents... More

THE highlight of our Sydney adventure. Brett was a more than awesome instructor for the four hours of surfing off Botany Bay (beautiful walking for senior me). Grandson, age 15, was afraid that he could never manage it, but to our mutual shock, I saw him gliding majestically into shore on his very first try! (lifetime memory). Equally memorable was... I discovered this place through http://www.adrenalin.com.au/surfing-lessons/nsw-sydney/water/15003 and found it to be great value for my money! The instructors Owen and Rowen were fantastic and it was clear that they enjoyed what they did. Among 12 people, they did a great job of giving both attention and freedom to practice for their customers. They repeated instructions in different ways so that... More

I had a great day with Surfs up! Our guide Dino picked us all up at Central Station and 5 us of headed out for the day. We went to an excellent beach that we had to 4 wheel drive into, we set up our camp and off we went to learn. There were 5 of us in the group,... More

Surfing is something that I've always wanted to try. When I went to Hawaii a few years ago, I didn't get the chance, so I thought that my recent visit to Sydney would be a great time to try it out! Surfing is huge in Sydney, and when I did a Google search for a lesson there were a million... More

I would recommend everyone to try surfing! I snowboard (not very well), but was able to stand up for a few seconds on my surfboard by the end of the lesson. Surf's Up is the organization that we used, but there's many out there! I'm not sure that Surf's Up is the "best" one per se though. We were picked... More

I had the pleasure of attending Surfs Up surfschool just before Christmas. With all the surfing schools advertised, it was so hard to choose which one to go to but I settled on Surfs Up because it seemed to have all the ingredients of a good time-food, transport, lots of lessons.... The bus picked me up from a convienent location... More

I was in Sydney only 2.5 days and knew I couldn't leave without going surfing. Surf's Up was recommended by the people running the hostel I was staying at (Blue Parrot, also great.) Deano is very personable and great at teaching and providing tips throughout the day. We had a barbecue for lunch, listened to music, played football, and surfed... More
