Good scenic views, various parts of the track is in bushland and gives good shade. Take a picnic lunch or eat at balmoral. To extend the walk go there and back

We took the ferry to Taronga Zoo then walked to Balmoral Beach. There are several directions to go but the walk is well sign-posted. We had lunch in Balmoral and took a bus back to Wynyard. Logistics were easy. Would definitely recommend for visitors to Sydney. We didn't walk down to the beach but there were a few swimming spots... More

After a bit of physical effort, well worth the trouble to negotiate the testing hills. Enjoy a coffee at the end of the walk

This starts at Balmoral Beach then at the Southern end is a series of stairs taking you to Middle Heads Road. The stair section isn't too exciting but is worth the effort to experience the rest. It's a reasonably flat walk from Middle Head Rd to the George's Heights Lookout. This view is spectacular and a must for tourists. If you... More

We were visiting my daughter who works at Chowder bay and came across this short walk by chance. It is wonderful, easy and gives the best views of Sydney harbour. Take the 244 bus which you catch at Wynard in the city (stand A i think) to the end of the line. When you get off walk down towards the... More

I pride myself on knowing most things about Sydney. This is the first time that I had been on this walk, only one word -Brilliant. Sydney harbour was at its sparkling best. The views from this walk are totally stunning. It's the sort of walk that lifts the soul.

Fantastic walk - trail starts immediately to the right when you get off ferry at Taronga Wharf. Taylors Bay and Chowder Bay are spectacular- take swimming gear at there is a netted cove at Clifton Gardens / Chowder Bay. Short cut back over the headland to Taronga.
