Ravana falls is located a few kilometers away from Ella town. The place tends to get a little crowded and there will be lots of people swimming or showering under the water. The fall is quite impressive as is the height. However, there are many signboards stating not to climb to the top. Our tour guide reported of many deaths... More

Its a waterfall. Its a nice one. You can walk up as well. The opposite side has a nice view as well. The beggers and the hawkers won't bother you if you tell them "no" once without smiling. Anyway, people don't usually stay long enough so these things bother them. If you got a scooter go for it. Its a... More

Slightly disappointed to see that swimming isn't possible here but the view is beautiful, although the area a little crowded. Tuk tuk driver's asking price from Ella was 1500 rupees which he said was the asking price for all tuk tuk drivers. The drive however is only 10-15 min away so not worth more than 500 one way.

This is a beautiful stately falls on the little town outside of Ella. We were on our way to Udawala & was a nice break. Well worth the stop.

I walked to the falls from town. It's about 6km and the scenery you walk past is incredible. One can take any bus to get there too-in about 10-15 mins for 20 rupees. Many groups stop there on their way as do other tourists. There are lots of monkeys around.

It's a fairly scenic waterfall, easily accessible from Ella. However not being able to hike around it (at least we didn't find any) makes it less interesting in my mind. But worth it if you have a little time left in Ella and want to see some waterfalls.

Would be amazing to see it in the rainy season but still worth stopping to break up journey. Incredible scenery to enjoy.
