Great walk, not too long but not too short! And an amazing view at the top. A must do in Ella, take some water!

Did a hike up here at sunrise--there was a beautiful view from up there! just a little crowded...so don't expect solitude.

This is a most pleasant walk in a very pleasant little town that counts probably more backpackers than locals. You'll need good shoes for this one, as well as water. Be prepared to enjoy the view at the top and along the way.

Nice, short and easy morning walk amongst tea plantations with lots of other tourists. Rikshaws can take you up very close.

Awesome place to be in this little Paradise Sri Lanka. You should visit early morning to enjoy the beauty of mother nature in a cold nice climate. With a small hike you can get a awesome view of the mountain range around here.

We hiked up here in the late afternoon in time for sunset and it did not disappoint, the views were absolutely stunning and the climb was fairly easy. If you are coming to Ella this is a must-see spot!

Recommend this! It's not difficult to hike. It took us about 2 hours for round trip with much phototaking activities at the peak.

More like a casual stroll up the hill rather than a trek, although the end does get a lot more steep! Beautiful views and a definite must in Ella.

Hi Tria, It's a gentle walk to the bottom of the stairs through the plantations with wonderful views, so that is well worth doing. You could then look at the climb to see what you think and easily turn back if it looks too... More

Hello Maphikers, it is somewhat safe, as I have seen many girls travel alone, but like someone had mentioned before you could always ask your hotel to arrange for you to go with some other group...or you could join many... More

As soon as the sun is down, it's gotta be cold and dark, I'd prefer the sunrise if you are an early bird, or the 2-3pm start (it's not that difficult and long to get there) enjoy !
