A place not to be missed during a weekend.
In Piazzale Padre Pio Raul Bianchini you can see: the village of Anguillara degrading toward the lake of Bracciano, the lake itself, and the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
In the same place you can find a good pastry bar overlooking the lake.
The church is documented from 1658 onwards, and perhaps it was the subject of a pastoral visit in 1574.
It was erected by popular vote following one of the many episodes in which it is said that the image of Jesus' mother Mary on the major altar would have opened her eyes in 1796.
In a small chapel on the right there is a fresco depicting Saint Charles Borromeo (I quote what a lady I met in the church told me).
Saint Charles Borromeo is revered in the diocese because he has been its apostolic administrator for some months in 1564.
