A great day out for all the family

This is a real dive into history, you will be submerged in the history of submarines and how they operated. An excellent day out for all the family.

A great place to visit in Gosport .Would give 5stars but we felt the short 5 minute chat up the front end of the sub was far too little. The main museum is excellent although the youngsters (staff) floating around are not particularly technically competent regarding submarines. More time up the front end of sub is needed- as most visitors... More

A awesome museum. Being able to go in and see the conserved WW2 submarine what a great experience - a knowledge guide helped. Good interactive part of the museum for young ones. Overall very interesting.

Unusual and unique. One off. Great staff and nice little cafe. Bit over priced. Very good parking area. But be careful not to slip on the pepper stones😠

Hadn't been here for very long time so impressed with improvements made. Knowledgable staff and the museum worth a visit. You can also get a boat trip over to the dockyard from there. Easy parking too

A brilliant museum made so much more special and interesting by the tour. Explored the whole submarine guided by an ex crewman, he answered questions and told many fascinating stories, made it exceptional. Crew accommodation and living conditions hard to believe.

Being honest , this wasn't the cheapest place we've ever been for a day out , but totally worth it. Our children age 10 and 8 really enjoyed it too. It's all laid out clearly, the staff are so helpful and informative , and the trip through the submarine is something that can't be replicated. The guide for our group... More

Cracking bunch of hours spent looking around a fantastic site and museum full of very interesting sections. Even as an ex-matelot, I fantastic time and learnt an awful lot. The submarine tour guides are ex Navy, so share their knowledge freely and with enthusiasm, along with their wit and humour!

I have lived in Gosport for 17years and finally got to see the RN Submarine Museum a few years ago with my hubby. It was fantastic to learn how Submariners lived & ate in such small quarters. Would recommend to anyone visiting Gosport.

Having driven past the brown sign on the Motorway many times I decided to make extra time on a journey to visit this wonderful museum. I had free guided tour on board HMS Alliance, the tour guide was an ex submariner and made the visit very real. The rest of the museum was very interesting, viewing the first ever Royal... More
