Farley Hill, being part of the Barbados national park system, does charge a small admittance fee. It's a shame that the mansion burned down but now it's a lovely spot for a picnic. You have your choice of sitting in the sun and looking at the front of the ruins of Farley Hill or a shady spot behind the old... More

This was a very cool hike. It used to be a popular place until it burned down. I hope it is purchased and revamped - it is an incredible piece of property

Even in the middle of the day Farley Hill Park has many cool spots with magnificent trees providing shade and the elevation providing cool breezes. The park consists of the ruins of what would have been a mansion in its day surrounded by parkland dotted with trees attracting lots of birds. There is a walk/drive all around the park. There... A ruined building standing on the hill> very little to see. Restaurant closed when we went. Not worth a special visit

We arrived quite late in the day so the gatekeeper did not charge us anything, which we appreciated. I was surprised that one had to pay for a public park, as some are free and operated for the good of the community. I don't remember paying about 20 years ago...? it is a lovely, shady spot, with a play area... More

Farley Hill is very beautiful ruins of what used a mansion. I am fascinated by architecture, including ruins, so I found the visit very enjoyable. Definitely check out the view from the Farley Hill national park as well. It's breathtaking! Some locals informed us that Farley Hill National Park turns into a massive festival place few times a year. If... More

This visit was again done on our island tour. Shame about the house. Destroyed by fire and fenced off. Could still imagine Harry Belafonte singing Island in the sun. Toilets a bit smelly. Views were excellent though.

The Historic Plantation House was used as the set location of the movie Island in the Sun. After the filming, the house burned I believe it was between 1960 thru 1980. I head there is a fantastic view in the park but I couldn't get away from taking these photos.

The ruins were just that, but the park was so serene, green and relaxing; there were people picnicking all over, but minding their own business.. there were some boys playing cricket and they allowed me to join in the game, quite refreshing really, it was a beautiful day! Thanks Barbados!
