The view of Bottom Bay is THE quintessential photograph of Barbados. It is instantly recognisable and you are unbelievably likely to find you've the beach all to yourself!

Bottom Bay is absolutely breathtaking and gorgeous. We rented a car to explore Barbados and Bottom Bay was our first stop. Nobody else was there (other than two locals on top of the steps), which made it even more special. This is authentic and unspoiled...More

This beach is quite beautiful. Nice for a quiet picnic. The water is a little on the rough side so here might not be the place for small children or weak swimmers.

The most beautiful water I have ever seen! Well worth the drive! Enjoyed the coconut drink made by Sam!

Beautiful, almost deserted beach surrounded by coral cliffs. Good for picnics and walking in the surf. Very strong waves and undercurrent. Venders rent chairs and offer fresh coconut water to drink. Accessed by stunning steps.

We chose to rent a villa in the area so we could walk to Bottom Bay, and enjoy a bit more of an authentic and unspoilt Barbados. We were (for the most part) not disappointed. The beach is just as others describe it, stunning and...More

Staying just a street away meant we could walk to this beach. As are most of the beaches on the Atlantic side- they aren't necessarily meant for swimming. But they are definitely great for sunning, reading, napping, and drinking from a freshly cut coconut by...More

I walked down the shaded stairs to the beach, stepped onto the sand, and felt unprepared for the beauty before me. The cliffs on either side formed a cove, the palm trees seemed as high as the sky, the water was the most magnificent shade...More

Bottom Bay was relatively easy to get to, but only had one other couple when we were there. The waves are a bit harsher so we didn't swim, but the water and sand are beautiful. It is a great place to take some pictures, have...More

i would look into Sapphire Beach condos. We just stayed there and we know the owners of a few condos. Very safe, Guards on duty, gated. Nice restaurants very close. Feel free to ask me for more details.

Its a bit in the middle of nowhere so you need a car and there are no bars or restaurants near by. Being on the beach alone, although seemed safe, may be a little daunting for a lady alone, but the locals and beach sellers... More

Yes there is a bus that drops you off on the main road, however it's about a 10 minute walk to the beach. As someone mentioned before it's about a ten minute drive from Crane Beach to Bottom Bay. Hope this helps!
