I liked this stop over as a relaxing stroll, but since we were not on a paid tour, we were left to wander completely on our own. The small museum has some interesting artifacts and stories. Bathrooms are clean. The facility had some explanatory signage about distilling, but none of the rum history of Barbados. We thought St. Nicholas Abbey... More

We came upon this one as first of a two distillery stop. As it turned out we liked their product much better than the longest distillery in the caribbean. It was a mild walking tour and the samples were quite small, but at 9 am in the morning, I knew that by the end of the tour I would be... More

Third trip to Barbados and finally we visited FourSquare Distillery. This Distillery and St Nicholas Abbey are the last 2 Bajan owned distilleries. I highly recommend this self guided tour. It was very interesting; extremely well done; and incredibly - there is no admission charge. Every staff member we met was so friendly, helpful, and passionate about rum. Andrew kept... More

Everyone there are very friendly! You can visit the distillery alone and see how the diamonds of Caribbean made! Go and check it is a good experience!

Foursquare is old and the real deal. We toured, through a HAL cruise ship excursion. The rum tour excursion is an excellent way to trip through the island. We were unique to the tour group: being one of the few drinking couples! This stop was our favorite. Not just because it was well away from the port. It was the... More

We decided to visit this one this time as we have been to the Mount Gay tour a few times. This one is way better for a few reasons in our opinion. First of all, it is very simple and not as commercial as Mount Gay. Secondly it is free. Third, when you pay to get to taste a variety... More

Visited Foursquare Distillery instead of Mount Gay because of the reviews here. It was perfect! Free entry, you can take as much time as you want, read the boards that explain the process and I could even walk between the barrels to take photos. Even though they don't do tastings the lady offered me different rums to sip on. I... More

We went to Foursquare and did the self-guided tour, which we really enjoyed. It was so much less "touristy" than the Mt. Gay tour, which we did a few years ago. The distillery is spotlessly clean. They have a small, very interesting museum on the property as well as a rum tasting building. I fell in love with the cream... More

My wife and I drove to take a tour and they were only doing cruise ship tours, so they sent us on an unguided tour. The rum factory was impressive. When we went to the tasting room, the staff didn't greet us or offer a tasting. Weird.... The property was near. The rum factory is surrounded by sugar cane fields... More
