This is a private garden with a fine view of the Carenage at St. Georges. The owner's wife gave us an informative tour with a lot of detail. It is delightful place with a fine selection of orchids. It was lovely to take a look at their house and to be treated to a local drink to finish off.

.....with some beautiful views, it wasn't what we were looking for. This tour is for someone who really enjoys learning the details of the plants. We're amateur gardeners, that just enjoy looking at the beauty. We didn't realize this would be a guided tour. This was our first stop on a full day tour and for us it lasted a... More

This was a wonderful tour for a keen gardener! John - a retired Scottish banker - showed us round his packed and interesting garden, that he and his wife have developed from scratch. Some very rare plants. The tour finished having a drink on their house's deck and watching the sunset over St. George's harbour. Great hospitality and I much... More

This is a hidden delight for keen gardeners and also for those interested in spending a little time to hear about the interesting lives of the owners. Tours are by appointment only. i emailed and got a response the same day. They have a lovely big dog but he stays out of the way. We were the only people there.... More

We read about this on tripadvisor before going to Grenada so emailed Faye & John beforehand for info then again whilst on holiday to arrange. They made us feel so welcome, Faye did the garden tour and was very knowledgeable with a good dose of humour and an insight into their very interesting life thrown in. John pitched up towards... We contacted Faye and John via email to book a tour of Hyde Park. Faye is a wonderful guide, she is very familiar with the trees, plants, and flowers growing on their property as she has planted much of it herself over the years. Great tour, great place to take some amazing pictures. At the end of our one hour... More

Fay and John were very welcoming hosts to their lovely home and beautiful garden. Fay was our guide and she gave us an animated tour between rain showers. Spectacular orchids and frangipani trees were the highlight for us. She offers a sunset tour, also, which we will try next time we come to Grenada.

Hyde Park is a stunning hillside garden in St George's. Privately owned, you must pre-book. Some tour companies (eg Sunsation) do include the garden in their itineraries but an individual tour has many advantages. Your hotel may be able to book for you (and arrange a taxi). You have the undivided attention of the owner, Faye, who has created the... More
