We are celebrating our 34th year as an estate winery in 2015. Sumac Ridge was the first operating estate winery in British Columbia. We have been dedicated to producing wine from 100% BC grown grapes since our inception. We are home to three unique brands in one iconic location. Sumac Ridge Private Reserve wines have welcomed you home for over 30 years. The traditional method sparkling wines of Steller's Jay are wonderfully vivacious, perfect for any occasion. The bold wines of the Black Sage Vineyard speak to the terroir, telling the story of 20 year-old vines planted in the right place at the right time. Visit the winery for a tasting, tour or picnic. We are open for tastings year round, tours and picnics run from May to October.

It is always a pleasure visiting Sumac Ridge Winery. The staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable. Last time we were there, John C poured for us and he was just the friendliest person. The wine is very reasonably priced. It's hard to leave without a case! Thanks Sumac for being so welcoming!

We had a brilliant experience tasting wines at Sumac Ridge. I wish I could remember the gentlemans name that served us, because he was great! We tested wines at Sumas on April 1 2017. We were a group of women celebrating my 40th birthday. Thanks for everything

Take the scenic route from Kelowna to Summerland and enjoy the picturesque view. On the way is a beautiful, fairly large winery with great wines and service. We left with a case. Thanks!

We tasted some very nice Okanagan Valley Wines. Our favorites: Steller’s Jay Brut Sparkling Wine ($21.79 CAD), Sumac Ridge Sauvignon Blanc ($12.19 CAD) and Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Franc ($20.89 CAD)

Haven't been to Sumac Ridge in well over a decade as I never cared much for their wines to be honest. Last Saturday, I decided to bring my wife and family there to try it once again. Though I don't care much for their regular wines, the Black Sage wines were extremely good and well-priced. I highly recommend their Merlot,... More

Went to Sumac Ridge for a wine tasting and was blown away with both the quality of your wines but also their price point. Your tasting room is well laid out with a huge selection of not only wine but all types of accessories. The young gentleman who was pouring for us was very knowledgeable and humorous. Thanks for a... I was lucky enough to be there when there were few customers. This means, I pretty much had John to myself. He is knowledgeable, interesting and makes you feel right at home. The wine sampling was fun, although, in truth, I already knew what I was going to purchase - Black Sage Zin and Pipe - which I did. But,... More
