Even though the pyramid itself isn't really big, the view is worth the effort of getting there! Moreover, it's really fun to climb the mountain. I highly recommend you wear tennis and get there at 9 am (when they open the park) as the later you get there the more people you'll find and the road is really tight (it... More

It seems easier to climb all the way up than you probably think. Get ready for a good hiking. The pyramid is not as big as you probably think but it's definitely worth the view. As they say you can fill yourself with good vibes and energy... it's definitely worth a shot.

As others have mentioned, the climb up can be arduous ... but that depends on your fitness level and, to some extent, your choice of footwear. I was pretty amazed at the lack of forethought in some folks' choice of shoes. Yes, it takes anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes to get to the top depending on your fitness level.... More

The climb to the top of the mountain is an absolute must. The whole experience is beautiful and the view from the top is breathtaking.

Overall it was a great family time, a bit demanding but totally worth it. Nice little pyramid at the top and totally worth view of the village and surrounding nature.

Really enjoyed the hike up this mountain. It wasn't too difficult. Once you get to the top, if you want to go up to the pyramid you need to pay $50. It's worth it for the view more than seeing the pyramid which is pretty much in ruins and quite small, so it's hard to walk around, particularly as a... More

We climbed slowly to the pyramid. The view and pyramid are well worth the effort. Bring lots of water, and maybe some energy food.

The climb to the temple is the equivalent to 120 stories in a sky scaper. The stones are uneven and the footing slippery when wet. I am 60 and in just OK shape and it took me 1.5 hours to climb. Worth it for the views. My thighs still ache three days later. SO glad I made it. Lots of... More

I had a few days to kill in Mexico city so decided to go to Tepozteco. Definitely worth it for a night and to climb to see the pyramid. The ruins themselves aren't up to much but the views are stunning. It's easily accessible and you can walk from anywhere in the town. There are signs on the main Street.... More

Beware, it is all stairs so pretty challenging. The way down was far easier than I thought! The weather was nice and warm even in the beginning of January, so bringing water is a must. The hike is mostly under charming vegetation. We met mostly local people and few tourists. Were impressed with a grandma and some children that made... More
