A short, wonderful walk back into the bush to see this natural bridge. About 10 minutes round trip on a flat, well maintained trail that includes a swinging bridge, well placed viewing platforms and a wooden deck walkway above the river built into the sides of the vertical rock formations. The stairs to the viewing platforms are the only climbs... More

We drove out to see the Marokopa falls and stopped here on the way back. We had not seen any information about this so were surprised by the beauty of this spot - it felt like a well kept secret. The overhead rock formation and vegetation filter the light creaing an other worldly feel to this place. My daughter, an... More

This place is so beautiful, both day and night time. We went there at dusk and it might have been the most stunning place I've seen during the entire NZ trip. Had to go back the next day during daylight, almost just as stunning... Don't miss this place if you're around Waitomo.

Just 5 mins walk from the car park along an excellent path and well designed viewing staircase/platforms. Took me back to childhood books of mystery and adventure, inspiring for the imagination. Loved it!

This 'natural bridge' is actually a collapsed cave. Quite close to the car park it is an easy walk. But is a long way in the wrong direction if travelling from Waitomo, and the clockwise loop back up north takes a long time

A pretty cool place to visit if you're in the area. There is a short walk (5mins) to the natural bridge and some stairs to climb. Very accessible for those with children

This 'bridge' is made of stone that at one point in history formed a massive cave; the majority of the cave 'roof' has been eaten away by the weather and the remaining stone now forms a natural bridge overhead.

The walk through the gorge to the bridge should take about 20mins, but be careful if it has been raining as the path can be slippery. Not recommended for anyone with mobility problems. There are information boards explaining the geological situation. this feature has to be seen to be believed. Just remarkable and needs to be seen. very close to... More

Just five minutes off the road easy walk along the river. A must stop if you are in the area. About 40 minutes from Waitomo.

Free and facinating! Go for a walk on well kept trails and see breath taking beauty. Check the local department of conservation website for info sheets. Good for families. Some steps but not a hard walk for most. Much of the walk is beside a river and flat. Take your cameras! Parking by the main road.

Thank Sawhira
