Our tours are friendly, informative and fun. With no more than 12 people on board, raft beneath many thousands of fabulous glowworms to see them at their very best. We visit private caves away from the regular, more commercial tours. Our caves are on a beautiful hill country farm and your guide is also your host, so expect a really enjoyable and memorable tour of our two magical caves.

We spent a pleasant morning with our guide Norman. He drove us on a road in the midst of beautiful rolling hills to the caves. He pointed out other caves on the way and explained to us the geology of this area. One cave has...More

This is an intimate, up-close experience with the caves. The highlight was a peaceful and lengthy drift down the cavern in darkness, illuminated only by the bioluminescent glow of the glowworm and accompanied by the roar of a distant waterfall. The caverns were stunning, and...More

Our B&B host recommended Spellbound as far better value than the other big touristy attraction. She was right - we thoroughly enjoyed our Spellbound tour, expertly led by our guide Mangu. A short drive to a local farm, a walk into the glowworm cave plus...More

An outstanding way to visit glowworm caves. We did not realize how many different caves there are; with Norm and his crew, we went to what seemed to be basically private, extensive caves with a reasonably small (about 10 people) group. Norm was an amazing...More

Spellbound is the second glowworm tour I have done in NZ and this is hands down the most amazing one of the two. To start with there was just my family (4) and another couple on this particular time slot. I can imagine that bus...More

We did the 3.25 hour tour. Think that's the only one they offer. I'd recommend calling and getting your name on the list as I think they fill up fast. Was a wonderful tour! Free phone (in NZ) is 0800 773 552
