We went in winter with a company called adrift which was amazing. Really informative tour and the guides were all a good laugh. We also got tonnes of information about the geography of the area as well as some movie facts. I would say that...More

It was one of the crucial points of my wish-list while visiting NZ. To the last moment we were not sure whether weather will allow us to make it, but - mercifully - it did! It really is an alpine walk - you have to...More

This was the first hike my partner and I have done, and we were quite nervous as to whether we would be fit enough (we are both 22 and had never done something so physically demanding). However we were pleasantly surprised that we completed the...More

If you only do one thing in the North Island, make this it. The whole crossing is some of the most photogenic scenery you'll come across. If you don't want to pay $30 per person to get picked up at the end of the crossing...More
